Crosscutter

Summary: 
Operates machine that cuts carpet/rugs into specified length/sizes and then sends them to serge operator to complete sewing process.
Essential Functions: 
  • Pulls, straightens, and positions rug onto cutting table aligning the cut line under the light or positions the rug to a predetermined measurement or marked indicator.
  • Depresses pedal to activate cutting head across table to cut rugs.
  • Stacks rugs onto board.
  • Positions board and rugs to appropriate conveyor.

  • Use hands to finger, handle, grip, or feel
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Twist, turn and or rotate body 
  • Employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel. 
  • Employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 lbs. 
  • Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. 
Work Enviroment: 
  • The employee is regularly exposed to move mechanical parts, lint and airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work enviroment is usually moderate.
