Coater Floater

Summary: 
The Coater Floater will be responsible for filling in and performing job duties as a Coordinator, Foam Bar Repair, Inventory Control Clerk, J-Box, Roll Up and/or Slitter as neeeded due to vacations/absences.
Essential Functions: 
  • Ability to drive a forklift/tugger.
  • Must be able to perform the duties of the following jobs:
    • Coordinator-responsible for smooth running of the back of coater and make sure material meets specs.
    • Foam Bar Repair-ensure that latex is evenly and equally applied to back of yardage material.
    • Inventory Control Clerk-responsible for making tickets and putting on correct product.
    • J-Box - seams rugs together from buggies at front of Coater.
    • Roll Up - tends to the machine that winds a continuous roll of rug on cardboard and assist machine that rolls rug with plastic.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience: 
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • No prior experience or training.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematic calculations required.
  • Some basic knowledge of computers required.
  • Ability to identify labels, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  
Licenses/Certificates: 
Valid driver's license is required.  Ability to obtain a Maples powered industrial truck permit.
Physical Demands: 
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arm and climb stairs.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The employee must regularly push/pull/turn shrink wrap rug rolls weighing 100-250 pounds (with assistance if necessary).  Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
