Direct Shipment Processing (Plant 3)

Summary: 
Electronically scans UPC codes of cases, label cases, stack cases, and prepare customer specific cases for proper loading according to shipping instructions.  Responsible for moving materials with pallet jack from portable rack or box and placing into permanent rack or box by style/size/color.
Essential Functions: 
  •  Moves material from portable locationto permanent location with pallet jack.
  • Run a style/size/color report for all customers for the day that is being processed.
  • Pull the correct amount of style/size/color of items ordered by customer.
  • Set up computer to begin processing orders.
  • Repack all small pieces into the correct size box needed for shipments.
  • Apply extra tape on the ends of all carpet sizes.
  • Appy all shipping labels and confirms invoice numbers match.
  • Seperate next day air shipments from daily shipments.
  • Load shipments onto correct carrier specific trailers and inform Lead when shipments are complete.
  • Must complete Slip Sheet Assembler duties when necessary.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
 
Education and/or Experience: 
High school diploma or GED.
Physical Demands: 
The employee is required to:
  • stand and walk;
  • use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
  • reach with hands and arms;
  • lift or move up to 50 pounds;
  • climb portable stairs.
