J-Box/Coater

Summary: 
Seam rugs together from buggies positioned at the front of the Coater in a fashion that would produce first quality rugs.
Essential Functions: 
  • Reverses all print base goods.
  • While sewing rugs together, seams must be straight, tight, and square, using lines provided from yardage and print line.
  • Buggies of rugs are seamed together by priority, latex color and ounces.
  • Keeps J-Box as full as possible to prevent coater from slowing down.
  • Assists maintenance with replacing sewing machine if it is not working correctly.
  • Reports holes, tears or any other problems to coater leadership.
  • Must be able to drive a Tugger.
  • Must scan all tickets into Coater tracking in the proper order.
  • Other duties required by job and management.
Education and/or Experience: 
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions. 
  • Ability to communicate in English. 
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations. 
  • Some basic knowledge of computers is required.
Licenses/Certificates: 
Valid driver's license required.
Physical Demands: 
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and stoop.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb stairs.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
