Straightens, stacks or folds rugs onto a table, and stacks neatly into buggies or onto pallets, by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:
Stacks rugs by size out of large dryer buggies neatly to increase inspection times.
Identifies the run with a dye ticket.
Removes rugs from buggies or pallets by hand.
Straightens rug, stacks or folds, and stacks to top of a table.
Follows oral instructions to ensure rugs are stacked correctly.
Loads rugs by hand into buggies, or onto pallets.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to runs or marks information on buggies, or pallets, or other containers.
Moves rugs from storage or work sites to designated area by use of pallet jacks or by pushing buggies.
Cleans work area.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience:
No prior experience or training required.
Ability to understand simple sentences.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, bend, stoop and twist; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift up to 35 pounds, and/or push or pull buggies weighing up to 350 pounds.
The work area is climate controlled but if stacking carpet, the temperature could vary based on outside temperatures.
The noise level in the work environment is usually normal.
