Utility Yarn Auto - Plant 3

Summary: 
Keeps serge operators supplied with the correct yarn and/or sew-ins.
Essential Functions: 
  • Checks specification sheet to ensure correct yarn number and checks to see if sew-ins are required.
  • Supplies serge operators with correct yarn/sew-ins.
  • Paces unused yarn in the correct yarn cages.
  • Cuts sew-ins labels as needed.
  • Keeps inventory of yarn and orders as needed.
  • Helps keep department safe by keeping empty cones out of floor and recycles properly.
  • Pickup yarn/labels after style change and put back where it belongs.
  • Other duties as required or requested by management.
Education and/or Experience: 
  • No prior experience or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to use AS400.
Physical Demands: 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop and bend; reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee is exposed to lint or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
