Yarn Process Lift (6pm - 6am)

Summary: 
Unloads, loads, and moves materials within the plant by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions: 
  • Walk through department at beginning of shift to check assigned machines.
  • Responsible for supplying yarn to assigned amount of tufting machines in the yardage department.
  • Reprocesses and locates yarn in the warehouse with a scanner and computer mounted on the forklift.
  • Ability to read production order to verify correct yarn color to bring to machines.
  • Ability to obtain a Maple's Industrial Truck Permit.
  • Unloads all trucks filled with supplies and places in correct locations.
  • Other duties assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience: 
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Basic math skills.  Ability to add, subtract, and multiply.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to use AS400.
Licenses/Certificates: 
  • Must have a valid driver's license and obtain a Maple's Industrial Truck Operator's permit.
Physical Demands: 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities require color vision to be important due to dealing with yarn on a daily basis.
  • The noise level in the work enivornment is normal to moderate.
  • Work enviornment is normally climate controlled, except for the warehouse.
  • Warehouse temperatures change due to outside temps.
