Improvement Staff

To perform various repair jobs within all plant locations.  Cleaning and refurbishing of plant equipment as well as facilities.

Maintenance Mechanic

Repairs and maintains machinery and process equipment.  This position requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and controls.  The work requires training and knowledge of multiple crafts such as mechanical, electrical, millwright, welding, and/or pipe fitting.  The candidate should also have knowledge of hand tools and power tools to perform job tasks.

Fork Lift Operator

As a lift driver at Maples, you ensure that your assigned department has the appropriate materials to accomplish the departments' role in creating a quality Maples Rug.  The operator will transport goods from the staging area to appropriate locations via the lift.  They will assist in loading/unloading trailers, moving materials by hand or with other equipment, and label/scan materials as needed.  To thrive in this role, you will need to be able to read, do basic math functions, use a scanner, and be able to use the AS400 computer system.  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without an assist.

RPG Programmer

The RPG Programmer position will work with a team to develop and modify software applications including coding, testing, and involvement in system management.

Load Freight/ Lift

Transports goods using forklift from staging area to appropriate locations and loads/unloads trailers.

Raw Materials Lift

Unloads, loads, and moves materials within the plant by performing the following duties.

Dye Weigher- Print Line

Organizes and coordinates batches of dye for the Print Department by performing the following duties.

J-Box/Coater

Seam rugs together from buggies positioned at the front of the Coater in a fashion that would produce first quality rugs.

Coater Floater

The Coater Floater will be responsible for filling in and performing job duties as a Coordinator, Foam Bar Repair, Inventory Control Clerk, J-Box, Roll Up and/or Slitter as neeeded due to vacations/absences.

Edge Inspector

Examines finished rugs to detect soil, assembly, and other manufacturing defects.  Inspector will then label and sometimes package rugs by performing the following duties.

Heat Set Operator

Operates the Superba Heat Set Machine by performing the essential functions of the job safely and efficiently.

Inspector

Examines finished rugs to detect soil, assembly, and other manufacturing defects, labels and often packages rugs by performing the following duties.

Tufting Machine Operator

Sets up and operates the Tufting Machine by performing the essential functions of the job safely and efficiently.

Twister Operator

Operates the Twisting Machine by performing the essential functions of the job safely and efficiently.

Direct Shipment Processing (Plant 3)

Electronically scans UPC codes of cases, label cases, stack cases, and prepare customer specific cases for proper loading according to shipping instructions.  Responsible for moving materials with pallet jack from portable rack or box and placing into permanent rack or box by style/size/color.

Serge Operator

Operates machine that sews edge of rugs by performing the essential functions of the job safely and efficiently.

Fills In Store Inventory

Electronically scan pallet labels, label cases, stack cases and prepare slip sheets for proper loading according to shipping instructions and move to proper location with pallet jack.

Store Rug Labeler

Labels cases, stacks cases, and prepares slip sheets for proper loading according to shipping instructions.

Order Puller

Verifies quantity, quality, labeling and addressing of products and items of merchandise ready for shipment by performing the following duties.

Operator Helper Plant 3

Assists serge operators turning carpet as it is serged, and guides carpet onto conveyor by performing the following duties.

Crosscutter

Operates machine that cuts carpet/rugs into specified length/sizes and then sends them to serge operator to complete sewing process.

Slip Sheet Stacker

Stacks boxes to prepare for shipping, occasionally label cases and prepare slip sheets for proper loading according to shipping instructions.

Tugger Driver

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within plant by performing the following duties.

Rugs to Rack Loader

Responsible for moving materials with buggy from Inspect table and placing into a permanent rack.

Stacker/Sew Line

Straightens, stacks or folds rugs onto a table, and stacks neatly into buggies or onto pallets, by performing the following duties on the sew line.

Inspect/Mend Yardage

Inspects, identifies, and corrects tufting issues as it is produced on the machine by performing the following duties.

Creeler

Sets up creel racks by performing the following duties.

Slitter

To slit coated rugs out of the coater according to specifications.

Foam Machine

Responsible for the running of foam to ensure that the correct amount of latex is placed on rugs going through foam bar.

Utility Yarn Auto - Plant 3

Keeps serge operators supplied with the correct yarn and/or sew-ins.

Utility Box Auto - Plant 3

Provides inspectors with the correct box to place the rug in for shipping.

Stacker- Plant 1

Straightens, stacks or folds rugs onto a table, and stacks neatly into buggies or onto pallets, by performing the following duties.

Foam Bar Repair

Ensure that Latex is evenly and equally applied to back of yardage material.

Coater Coordinator

Responsible for smooth running of the back of the coater.  Ensures that all material that is run through the coater meets specifications.
